Our Story

Hanningfields is an established trader within the Jewellery and Antiques sector and has a long history first establishing it’s roots back in 1926 with its founder Mr A Bilkus.

Originally located with it’s retail outlet within the old Portobello Road Antiques District in the West of London where it thrived for over three decades serving both the public and trade offering retail sales and the management of customer pieces through auction consignments.

Due to redevelopment and closing of the original Portobello Road Antiques District in the early 1990’s Hanningfields then relocated to it’s current location in Hatton Garden the renowned jewellery district of London.

Hanningfields prides itself on offering a public free of charge valuation and appraisal service. We are also in constant need of new stock for both our retail outlet and also lots for our auctions which means we provide the opportunity of a direct sale to us.

Due to our history in the antiques and jewellery sector we have long standing relationships with many of the top auction houses in London whereby on certain specialist items we work with the customer to manage the sale of their piece through consignment to specialist auctions at reduced rates in comparison to the standard fees charged to the public.
